Winter Daphne - 白瑞香

This ethereal tea eluded our search for many years.  Having tasted it once, we sought it high and low, but always came away empty-handed.  At last we can share it with you: Winter Daphne (rui xiang).  This tea comes from the core Zhengyan (true rock) area of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian.  It is known for its pronounced floral aroma and refined, naturally sweet finish.

This complex yet soothing tea carries the aroma of chocolate, the flavor of wildflowers, and leaves a creamy vanilla scent in the cup.  The qi of this tea is palpable; it lifts the weight off your shoulders and leaves you care-free.  A tea that fairies might drink, after a night of dancing round a ring of toadstools. You will continue to experience this tea long after drinking it.  Carry it with you as you return to the mundane world.
