A private tea house for your celebration

Celebrate your next gathering at Callisto Tea House. Our tea house in Pasadena is available for private events including baby showers, bridal showers, birthday celebrations, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions.

For a private event, the entire tea house is reserved exclusively for you and your guests. Our standard private-event arrangement accommodates up to 20 guests seated and includes our Afternoon Tea service, creating a relaxed and distinctive setting for celebrating together.

Afternoon Tea for your guests

Our standard private event includes Afternoon Tea for up to 20 guests, with a selection of sweet and savory bites served alongside Callisto teas.

Other service arrangements may be possible. For example, larger standing receptions can be arranged with buffet-style rather than seated service. Contact us to discuss what you have in mind and whether we can accommodate it in our space.

Make the event your own

You're welcome to bring a cake or other outside food for your event. Alcohol is not permitted.

For groups interested in making tea a larger part of the occasion, we can also discuss adding a guided tea tasting or other tea experience. Availability and pricing depend on the size and format of the event.

Looking specifically for a small guided tea experience? Our Private Tea Tastings are a separate offering and are available for groups as small as two without reserving the entire tea house.

Tea favors and guest gifts

Send your guests home with a little of the Callisto experience. We can prepare tea favors or guest gifts for your event, from individual packages of a favorite Callisto tea to a selection of tea samples for each guest.

Options and pricing vary depending on the teas, quantities, and presentation, so let us know what you have in mind when planning your event.

Event timing and capacity

Private events are scheduled for three hours, including any setup and teardown time. Additional time may be available for an additional charge.

Our standard private-event arrangement accommodates up to 20 seated guests. Larger groups may sometimes be possible with a standing reception format; please contact us to discuss your group and the type of event you're planning.

Private event pricing

Private events are generally priced as a flat fee for exclusive use of the tea house for up to 20 guests. The standard fee includes Afternoon Tea for up to 20 guests. The event fee remains the same for smaller groups or if you choose to provide your own food.
