Princess Lieu Hanh is the Earth Immortal in traditional Vietnamese culture, and her spirit imbues this tea with its power. You can feel that connection to the Earth as you sip, but even more so to the hands that harvested these leaves. It offers a nutty character, with notes of sweet pea shoots, and a long lingering finish
This tea is grown and produced by the Red Dzao people in Hà Giang Province, Vietnam. It is hand-picked & hand processed by family members and neighbors in their village, ensuring that the traditional taste and character of the tea are preserved. Fresh leaves are picked in the early morning, pan-fired to stop oxidation, rolled to release flavor, then dried to preserve the green color and fresh aroma.
Unlike most teas, which are harvested from cultivated bushes, Four Immortals is harvested from wild tea trees. They are known locally as Shan Tuyết (snow shan): “immortal” tea trees by our standards, over 100 years old. The villagers have made it their goal to protect these ancient tea trees and the knowledge passed down through generations so they can share the unique flavor of Hà Giang’s high mountains with tea lovers worldwide.
