Dragon Well is an ancient green tea, known for notes of toasted chestnuts balancing its savory richness. While there are a lot of teas by this name, true Dragon Well (long jing) comes from Hangzhou, the capital of the Zhejiang province of China.
This particular Dragon Well is produced from the Longjing 43 cultivar in the Qian Tang region of Hangzhou. It was picked in early Spring 2025, during the ‘pre-qingming’ harvest period. In addition to the trademark nutty flavor, it offers a creamy sweetness that lingers long after tasting. Unlike most green teas, the leaves can be brewed many times, and provide a delicious brew at a range of different water temperatures, without the bitterness often associated with green tea.
We have a limited supply of this extraordinary tea, so be sure to try some before it’s gone. Each years harvest of Dragon Well is unique - enjoy the ephemeral nature of this tea.
