Da Hong Pao Deep Dive - Sunday November 8

In our last round of tastings, we held a session focused on Wuyi Mountain oolongs. We talked about how famous tea growing regions in China usually have a "core region" that is the origin of the tea, and various degrees of periphery regions that get farther and farther from the core. We mentioned that we have a few Da Hong Pao teas from the different degrees, including the "core" (zheng yan). Many of the attendees were interested in an all Da Hong Pao tea tasting, so here it is!

We'll be tasting Da Hong Pao from the zheng yan core region, from the ban yan periphery, and one of mixed harvest. Come taste how differing degrees of "authenticity" affect the finished tea!
