This is a beautifully crafted small teapot that is meant to brew tea according to the Chinese Gongfu Tea Ceremony. Brewing of tea in smaller portions allows for precise extraction of flavors from the tea leaves, making just enough tea for a single serving, and allowing many brews of the leaves. The grapevine design is hand-painted in the "blue and white" design popular in the Qing Dynasty.
