Surround yourself with flowers, and clear spring water. The subtle flavor of this contemplative tea highlights its other qualities - the floral aroma, the silky texture soothing the throat. This tea carries the promise of renewal, of Spring.
White Tea is the least processed of the Six Types. The leaves are simply dried after picking; no heating, no shaping, no oxidizing, no fermenting. This tea is in the style of bai mu dan, "white peony", traditionally made by picking only the bud and first leaf from the tea plant. Although this style of tea originates in Fujian, China, this particular batch comes from the Nilgiri Mountains of India. This is another selection from Tea Studio, an innovative tea producer in Tamil Nadu, under the guidance of Muskan Khanna. She continues to push the boundaries of typical tea production.
